The soldiers keep chasing Jack, and they're headed for a narrow pass between two cliffs. Xyber says a scout glider will never make it, but Jack ignores him and takes the vehicle through the pass anyway. It's a tight squeeze, with the wings of the glider and Xyber's casing clanging off the sides of the pass, but they make it through relatively unscathed. The Machina tailing them don't have the same luck, they all crash.
Meanwhile, back at Renard's base from the previous ep, Mick and Willy are still handing out food to the soldiers. Mick starts a short fight with one of them and swipes the keys to their chains. "I've had enough of this, how 'bout you?" The two of them get themselves free and steal a halfback to escape! They blast their way out of the base and take off . . .

Some Hammerons fly over a rocky expanse of the desert. After they leave, Jack's glider emerges from under a rocky outcrop . . . he comments on the ships as he leaves, "More Hammerons . . . that's the fifth patrol this morning."
Xyber does a scan for others of his kind (a rather noisy scan, and Jack tells him "Do you have to do that? We're trying not to get caught here.) but he's the only Xyber remaining. Jack questions again what he is, but the Xyber brushes it off and just says he needs Jack to show him the state of the world.
Jack says the only thing he needs is a weapons master to train him, and that they're going to Gaagol. The best warriors go there to fight some kind of monster . . .
They pull over to the side of the road as a caravan goes past, and we get our first glimpse of Princess Roselyn. Jack's taken by her beauty but isn't paying attention to the road and whacks into a tree. Roselyn giggles at this as her coach moves on. Even Xyber has a bit of a laugh at this, "Here's a new concept: I call it 'watching the road'."
Meanwhile, Anakonda was watching the whole thing on her pet bat. The bat takes off into the sky . . .
Roselyn's coach stops at Gaagol. Jack and Xyber 9 get to Gaagol as well, only to find it crawling with Renard's soldiers. The Xyber gets a bit on the sarcastic side at this, but Jack silences him as he sneaks around.
All of a sudden, there's a big commotion in the town square; some supposed 'weapons master' was going after the local monster. The mayor/elder of Gaagol is watching the whole thing through a telescope. Princess Roselyn is watching as well. The guy's on a speeder, and with sword raised for battle, he flies straight into the cave where the monster is . . . only to come flying back out, smoke trailing behind him, then crashing through the lower roof of a building. The monster hurls the guy's vehicle out of the cave as if it was a toy. The crowd clears out, and the mayor crosses yet another person off the sign next to the telescope . . .
At this, Xyber 9 says something along the lines of 'Looks like Gaagol is fresh out of weapons masters', then suggests that they leave town immediately. Jack isn't leaving without finding what he came for, though.
As fate would have it, there's a bit of a scuffle at the nearby inn, as the owner tosses out what appears to be an old beggar. He ends up landing on Jack. A couple of the local tavern rowdies kick dirt into the old man's face, and one of them says the beggar is 'Lord Ikira, he used to be one of the greatest swordsmen of our time.' Jack gets them to take off. Ikira says he could have taken them easily, but there would be no honor in it, it is not the warrior's way. This pretty much convinces Jack to want Ikira as his weapons master. Xyber has his doubts, but Jack ignores him.
Ikira walks off and Jack follows, asking him where he's going. The old warrior says he's going to destroy the monster, but Jack tells him he wouldn't last five seconds by himself. The boy decides to help him, and says if he's going to fight the monster, he should do it with dignity. Jack gets Ikira cleaned up, and he even managed to buy Ikira's swords and uniform back.
Ikira strides back into town, all spiffed up and with new resolve and confidence. Jack and Honk are walking with him. Mick and Willy have shown up and want to fight the monster, and Anakonda is lurking in the shadows. Jack and Ikira walk up to the crowd forming, saying they want to fight the monster too. The crowd laughs at this, but then the mayor says that whoever defeats the monster will get the reward . . . The monster has other ideas and roars at them . . .

The group heads out to fight the monster . . . Jack and Ikira are in the lead, followed by Mick and Willy in the halfback. Ana is flying overhead. Princess Roselyn asks to look through the telescope to see all the action . . .
Willy tells Mick they aren't going any closer until they know what it is. Mick says he's not going to be the bait again, and they're about to rock-paper-scissors for it when Ikira steps forward. Ikira does manage to draw the monster out, and it's a giant robot! Mick says it's only a CLOD, and Willy says they have a weak spot in the back.
Ikira is trying to fight the CLOD but to no avail. He gets blasted and knocked aside, then Mick and Willy try their luck. They blast it with a mortar but it's still standing! "That's not an ordinary CLOD." They back off while Jack rescues Ikira . . . Ikira says he failed again and drops his swords, but Jack picks them back up and encourages the old warrior.
Meanwhile our guys are back at square one, hiding behind a wall. Jack notices that the CLOD isn't attacking the sheep that walk past it. The old 'wolf in sheep's clothing' routine is given new life as Jack sneaks across the field with a sheepskin on. Once over behind the CLOD, Jack discovers Ana over there, about to attack. He tells her not to and continues climbing the cliff.
Jack climbs to the top of the cliff, then jumps on top of the CLOD and inserts the Xyber. It doesn't work, however, as the CLOD's already been programmed!
We switch to the Underworld, where an alarm is going off. Seems Machestro was responsible for the CLOD being there . . . he orders Renard's troops to move into the Gaagol area immediately . . .
Jack gets thrown from the CLOD, and . . .

The CLOD's about to squish Jack, Honk tries to defend him but it's Ikira who draws the robot off with fire from his speeder. Jack gets up, grabs the shield nearby and uses it to grapple onto one of the wires extending down into the canyon below. He flips it up and starts to surf on it . . .
Ana tries to blind the CLOD but she's thrown off the cliff . . . Ikira comes to the rescue on his speeder.
Mick and Willy blast the CLOD over the side, and it starts chasing Jack down the wires. With some acrobatics and much switching of wires, Jack manages to retrieve the Xyber . . . the CLOD crashes into a cliff. The cliff starts crumbling and Jack uses the Xyber to pry the cliff from the rest of the rock face. The CLOD goes spiraling into the void below; they've won!
A minute or two later, Ikira tells Jack he could have been killed, but as Jack says "But we beat it.", the old warrior sweeps the kid's foot out from under him! "Your left foot is slow and you lean towards your opponent! You have much to learn. I will teach you." Ikira tells him as he helps Jack to his feet.
Later on, Jack uses the Xyber to open the dam. As the water flows, the group finally makes introductions to each other. The Xyber says that the CLOD being there was no accident, someone wanted the kingdom to fall . . .
Meanwhile, Renard's soldiers finally make it to the area . . .
